About the Conference
This conference will explore motivational interviewing as an approach to smoking cessation, and ways in which your campus can connect with the community.
Speakers:
  1. Lowell Dale, MD and Susan Glaeser, MN, CTTS - Mayo Clinic Nicotine Dependence Center

    Topic: Motivational Interviewing, a cessation approach designed to facilitate the resolution of issues that inhibit positive behavior change by actively engaging the patient in the process.
     
  2. Martin Wera and Dana Borowski - Grassroots Solutions
    Grassroots Solutions is a firm currently working with ClearWay MN to provide technical assistance on public policy for workplace smoking ordinances.

    Topic: Tactics for organizing and mobilizing people around public policy.

If you are attending this Resource Sharing Conference, plan to stay for the College Health Summit the following day. Summit will explore tobacco, alcohol, and other drug use on twelve MN campuses.
